about

I’m very proud to share my new album Riversing Heaven—the 5th release from my StarGarden series. The timing of this album honors the South Node currently at the Galactic Center, opening us all to a portal not only to our origins—the womb of the Black Madonna or Great Mother—but also our journey to the Beyond. The Galactic Center, located at 27 Sagittarius is the dark rift in the center of the Milky Way, which features in the album’s cover.
The Milky Way, the River Lactae, was known in many indigenous cultures as the River of Souls, the journey of the departed on their way to the next frontier and future life. For the Aborigines, it was the floodwaters spilling out from a celestial stream, adn the stars are the campfires of the dead who reside next to this stream. The Greeks and Romans considered it to be a road traveled for those who wished to commune with spirits and gods, and for the Maya it was the road to Xibalba, the path to the underworld afterlie. But it was also connected with the life-giving, divinely nourishing milk of the goddess Juno.

Riversing is a play on the word Reversing, which in itself has Re: Verse and Sing. - For me, this album evokes so many emotions: the feeling of tranquil allowance and surrendering to the Song of the River, its snaking movement. But also, this album invokes the undulations of incarnation itself, especially in our current zeitgeist.

This is one of my REVERSALS albums, where I’ve taken a track I composed and then reversed the song which creates a completely different texture, movement, and rhythm. I liken this process to meditating at the river and the difference between watching the river cascade down towards you, letting it enter the caverns of your heart and filling them with the love made by mountain and cloud versus witnessing the river drifting away into future destinations, hidden and mysterious.
